Capture guidance
- Face the camera directly with your head upright.
- Use a neutral expression, open eyes, and a closed mouth.
- Keep your whole head, hair, and the top of your shoulders in frame.
- Use even light and avoid glare, heavy shadows, blur, and beauty filters.
- Remove sunglasses; ordinary prescription glasses must not obscure the eyes.
- Use a recent photo that still represents your current appearance.
What you’ll receive

If your source cannot be processed or assessed safely, we’ll explain what needs to be retaken instead of intentionally beautifying or changing identity.
Some application rules prohibit or restrict digitally processed photos. Check the current requirements and decide whether to use the result. Verid Photo does not submit photos or applications, certify compliance, guarantee acceptance, or claim affiliation with any government agency, authority, or official.

Does Verid Photo guarantee acceptance?
No. Verid Photo formats and checks selected measurable photo targets, but the receiving organization makes every acceptance and submission decision.
Will the service retouch my face?
The service uses reasonable efforts to preserve facial details and does not intentionally reshape features, change expression, smooth skin, remove marks, synthesize hair, or turn a side-facing face forward. Background replacement and small, measured lighting or colour corrections can have unintended effects. Always review the preview and delivered result.
Can I use a Canadian passport photo instead?
Do not assume so. The Canadian passport format is 50 mm × 70 mm, while this product is for an exact 35 mm × 45 mm Canada temporary resident visa output.
Can I upload a selfie today?
