Before you upload

Start with an unedited camera photo.

Use even light against a plain wall. Choose the original photo from your phone or camera without filters, portrait mode, or a tight crop.

  • Leave space around your whole head, hair, and the top of your shoulders.
  • Look straight into the camera with your head upright.
  • Remove glasses and any hat before taking the photo.
  • Wear polite or formal clothing and use even lighting without shadows.

What we change

We straighten the photo if needed, replace the background with solid white, make a 4 × 6 crop, gently balance the lighting and colour, and create a 600 × 900 JPEG within the file-size limits.

What stays the same

Your face stays yours. We don’t smooth skin, remove marks, reshape features, or change your expression. If you’re not facing forward, we’ll ask you to choose another photo instead of changing your face.

For your privacy, we delete your photo files within 30 days of upload. The 30-day window stays the same if you download again or contact support. For help, contact us.

Good to know

A few common questions.

Is this a Vietnamese passport photo?

No. This service prepares the portrait upload for a Vietnam e-Visa application, not a Vietnamese passport photo or the separate passport-page upload.

Why doesn’t Verid Photo use beauty filters?

Document photos should show how you look now. We prepare the size, crop, and background without smoothing skin, removing marks, reshaping features, changing your expression, or adding facial details.

Can I wear glasses or a hat in my Vietnam eVisa photo?

The current Vietnam e-Visa photo instructions say no glasses and no hat. Remove them before taking the photo.

What should I review in the preview?

Check that the photo looks like you, you are facing straight ahead, and the white background and crop look natural. Follow any tips shown before you continue.
